Meditation and Relaxation

Hi Dear Ones...

We live in such a stressful world where we have to worry about everything and anything not just having to do with ourselves but those we love as well. Sometimes it feels like a bottomless pit of non ending situations (I'm referring to my sister's life) and we truly need to try to get away from our daily lives if not just for a few minutes each day.

I invite you to scroll down and look to where you see "Here Are Some Sites To Inspire You"

Once you get there you will see places where you can go to meditation rooms and soothing music to listen to. There are many programs that are free to use and there are some that give you a sample of meditations for free and if your interested you can buy their products...I am not affiliated with any of them...that is entirely up to you if you choose to purchase....my main concern is trying to get you all to relax using the "free" versions because they are good enough for you right now.

So, go ahead and scroll down know till you see it. Choose the right one for you. It's time to find your peace, find your center!

Be Well!

Happy Halloween

Well, I hope you had a great Halloween. I scared all the little children to death with my witches costume and then provided them with a first hand glance of me flying around on my broom throughout the neighborhood! With all the flying around I used up all the gas I had plus energy and was unable to meet my sister Sue and cousin Lisa in Salem at midnight.......sorry you two...maybe we can shoot for next year!

On a more serious note....

I have been perfecting my new gift of "trance" through between my wake and asleep phase and have gotten interesting results however I'm finding out that while I'm talking to these guides in that sleep mode I'm learning that i have not read for the person yet. So right now there's no rhym or reason to this but soon I'm going to be conducting experiments with certain clients who come into my live chat room. If you are interested you need to come and get a reading from me and asked to be put on the list there is absolutely NO cost to partaking in the experiment except to come into the live chat room for a reading and ask to be placed on the list because I'm not asking people...this is something they must feel is what they want to do.

I'm very excited about a new course that I am taking now to be able to better my clients and to help them relax. I'm becoming a relaxation therapist and will have my degree in this soon. So those of you who suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, I will be able to help you in live chat or as an email request at a reasonable fee.

That's it for now my dear ones! Be good to each other and think positive thoughts.

Astral Projection Trance Project

I am very excited about this latest "gift" that I have just come into and I may be able to offer that as one of my services through email request at Live Person.

I find that when I am performing a reading in live chat with a client and the messages are relayed; when I sign off for the night and get ready for bed I am astral projecting between awake and sleep concentrating on the name of an inquiry that the client has about a specific person especially if they are stuck themselves and I'm actually taken to a place where I am face to face with one of their master guides who only tell me what they want me to know.

Now, this does not happen with every single client I have and I myself have no control over which client or which situation. But this is at its infancy and will in future be able to offer this to the general public. However at this point I have no idea when that will be...when my guides feel that I am ready then I'll be ready.

It's one of the most fascinating adventures I have been on in a very long time and I just wanted to share this with you today

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

I've lost track of the time and I'm sorry for that. It's been awhile since I last posted. Life happens sometimes and things get backed up.

Today I want to talk about people and how we as a society are making it more difficult to communicate with people. Everything is automatic so you don't have to deal with people...one day we won't see anyone and won't communicate with others and never leave the house. That makes me sad...so today I wanted to share some inspirational "quotes"
******************************************************************************
Deeper communication

Once a human being has arrived on this earth, communication is the largest single factor determining what kinds of relationships he makes with others and what happens to him in the world about him."

-- Virginia Satir
**********************************************************************************
How do you typically communicate? Is it through words, gestures, emotions, thoughts, desires, needs, truths, direct perception or intuition? Do you focus more on the other person or on yourself? Do you typically tell, ask or listen?

For a few days, set an intention to be aware of your communication styles and skills. After youve spent some time talking with someone, reflect on what your underlying motives were and what level of depth you reached. Write your insights in your journal. This exercise will help you become more aware and conscious of who you are and why you do what you do.

"We need people in our lives with whom we can be as open as possible. To have real conversation with people may seem like such a simple, obvious suggestion, but it involves courage and risk."

-- Thomas Moore

"You must speak straight so that your words may go as sunlight to our hearts."

-- Cochise

I'm sorry it's been a little while since I last wrote or have posted these inspirational quotes but things got to be a little bit hectic there due to a death in my husband's family. It was especially hard because his cousin was at the same funeral polar, had the same services in the same chapel as my husband's brother who died last November at the age of 52.

But we do what we have to do even though it's hard. We go and listen to those that are hurting and in pain. The key here is "listening" to people...seems no one wants to anymore...

Support others with your presence

"The purpose of therapy is not to remove suffering but TO MOVE THROUGH IT to an enlarged consciousness that can sustain the polarity of painful opposites."

-- James Hollis

How do we support others who are suffering?

When we understand how soul works through us, we begin to see how pain generates the impulse to change. We see that our aim in supporting someone is NOT to get rid of their pain and suffering. Instead, we want to assist them to understand what the pain is trying to teach them -- to find meaning in their distress.

Often, all we need do is be fully present to them. It also helps to be present to our own experience and genuine in our feelings. Living our own truth helps create the space for the other person to live theirs.

"The first duty of love is to listen."

-- Paul Tillich

"With the gift of listening comes the gift of healing."

-- Catherine de Hueck Doherty

5 steps to self-actualization

"Every human action, whether it has become positive or negative, must depend on motivation."

-- Dalai Lama

Monitoring what motivates me has helped me see how I am growing. I do things for different reasons now than I did 10 years ago. As we pay ongoing attention to our motives, we can see how both our conscious and unconscious attitudes are changing.

Here are some ways that our motives can shift with rising consciousness:

- I desire
- I want to collect things
- I want to know
- I want to serve
- I want to be

What are your motives as you participate in life?

"There are three kinds of people and three kinds of richness:
- people who want to have, to collect
- people who want action, work and labor
- people who want to be
The real richness is in be-ness. People can take all that you have, all that you collected. People can stop your labor, or an accident can stop you. When you are, you never lose what you are."

-- Torkom Saraydarian

"You are what you think. You are what you go for. You are what you do!"

-- Bob Richards

"A good intention clothes itself with power."

-- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Why Meditate

Good Lord I would be a basket case if I couldn't meditate. The stress alone would wipe you out. If you have not done this before then you ought to consider learning about this. There are some meditation rooms on this blog. Be sure to check them out.

************************************************************************

Why meditate?

"Meditation brings wisdom; lack of meditation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom."

-- Buddha

Meditation is considered an essential practice for those who seek self-knowledge and self-mastery. Why? Basically, meditation brings awareness of how our minds work. Over time, we become watchers, able to detach from the thoughts and emotions that play out in our minds.

With this detachment, we gain the freedom to choose whether or not to act on our thoughts and emotions. We learn to distinguish between objective reality and our mental and emotional dramas.

"Only in quiet waters things mirror themselves undistorted. Only in a quiet mind is adequate perception of the world."

-- Hans Margolius

Happy Birthday Bill

Hmmm, as I write that.....Happy Birthday Bill....it's bittersweet since this is the first birthday brother in law dear, that you are spending on the other side with your parents who you have not seen for awhile, your brother you have not seen in over 25 years, and your grandparents, uncles, etc. The picture of that sustains me this day as I can see you sitting on your rocking chair rocking away at the beat of the music. It's ok, we had you for many years celebrating your special day and those on the other side have not.

Just letting you know that we have not forgotten the day and that your forever in our hearts and never will be forgotten. Getting to spend your birthday with Christ must be an experience that you would never forget. Say hello to your parents for me, my dad and grandparents.

We love you,
Your sister in law Terry

Hello you great beings of light. Today I found some quotes about feeling your emotions. Sometimes it's hard to feel your own emotions. I know for myself it's very difficult because I feel the emotions of everyone else. Anyway, I thought you might enjoy these today...
********************************************************************************

Feel your emotions

"The key is to not resist or rebel against emotions or to try to get around them by devising all sorts of tricks; but to accept them directly, as they are."

-- Takahisa Kora

Emotions are energy in motion. They bring us information if we are willing to experience them. Unfortunately, many of us are afraid of the energy of emotions and so we automatically resist them. And when we refuse to experience our emotions, we block them up. They become trapped and that entrapment drains our energy and brings continuing discomfort.

Don't let emotions push you into action or reaction. Just STOP and PAY ATTENTION. Allow them to be and to speak to you. Once they are acknowledged, their energy is released.

"Instead of resisting any emotion, the best way to dispel it is to enter it fully, embrace it and see through your resistance."

-- Deepak Chopra

"We have to become more conscious of our feeling-world. By learning to identify the emotional baggage and manage our feeling-world reactions, we can view life based on current information instead of being held captive by our past."

-- Doc Childre

"Our feelings are our most genuine paths to knowledge."

-- Audre Lorde

*****************************************************************************
Looking for safety?

"Security is when everything is settled, when nothing can happen to you; security is the denial of life."

-- Germaine Greer

Our personality likes to be in control. It likes to know how things are and whats going to happen. Underlying this desire for stability and predictability is a deep fear that the world is a dangerous place. The personality fears it will not survive without continually being on guard.

The truth is: we cannot control what happens in life. And under the natural law of attraction, we tend to attract to us what we focus on. EXPLORE SUBSTITUTING TRUST FOR FEAR and the world becomes a gentler, happier place.

"There are no guarantees. From the viewpoint of fear, none are strong enough. From the viewpoint of love, none are necessary."

-- Emmanuel

"One thing we can do is make the choice to view the world in a healthy way. We can choose to see the world as safe with only moments of danger rather than seeing the world as dangerous with only moments of safety."

-- Deepak Chopra

Practice detachment

As our consciousness rises, our perspective becomes more and more impersonal. What does this mean?

It means we are increasingly able to view our lives and the rest of the world with detachment. This does not mean we are cold and uncaring. Rather, we are self-contained. We have well-defined boundaries and we are able to think and act objectively, clearly and responsibly.

When we have learned detachment, we do not get hooked into the thoughts and feelings of others. We are not easily upset or manipulated. We may feel compassion for others but this does not cloud our ability to choose how we think, feel and behave. We also do not need others to behave in any particular way.

"Until we take how we see ourselves (and how we see others) into account, we will be unable to understand how others see and feel about themselves and their world. Unaware, we will project our intentions on their behavior and call ourselves objective."

-- Stephen Covey
Step into self-awareness

"Getting in touch with your true self must be your first priority."

-- Tom Hopkins
******************************************************************************
Here are some different aspects of self-awareness:

- Know yourself - Explore who you are: your defences, your blocks, your talents, your aspirations, etc.

- Accept yourself - We are at war with ourselves when we resist or deny certain aspects of who we are. Acknowledge the truth of who you are right now - the positives and the negatives. Only when we own our present reality can we change.

- Control yourself - Set clear, conscious intentions and discipline yourself to meet them.

- Express yourself - Go to your heart to identify what has meaning and purpose for you. Live your truth. Identify ways you can give back to life and be in service.

We work on each of these aspects all the time. But as our lives go through cycles, we predominantly work on one of them more than the others. Which aspect are you more conscious of lately?

"Our lives improve only when we take chances ... and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves."

-- Walter Anderson
**********************************************************************************
"Adventure can be an end in itself. Self-discovery is the secret ingredient that fuels daring."

-- Grace Lichtenstein

Good Morning Beautiful People,

Today's Lesson is to Trust Ourselves ...it's more important to trust YOURSELF first because if you can't trust yourself, in your "self" then how in the heck can you trust others....make sense? sounds good to me anyway. Again, thanks for visiting this blog. Feel free to leave comments where you are allowed to and become a follower of this blog. I'm also going to be doing my own specials for my own services once the summer wipeout special is over with. So for today, I bid you peace!
*************************************************************************************
Trust yourself

"I never know what the next lesson is going to be, because were not supposed to know; were supposed to trust ourselves to discover it."

-- Melody Beattie
************************************************************************************
How deeply do you trust your own guidance?

Always trust that you know what's best for you. To move forward in your life, gather information from the 'experts,' consider how their advice relates to your situation and then act only on what feels right for you. What does your whole being (mind, body and soul) say Yes! to?

You are the only expert for your own life.

"I trust so much in the power of the heart and the soul; I know that the answer to what we need to do next is in our own hearts. All we have to do is listen, then take that one step further and trust what we hear. We will be taught what we need to learn."

-- Melody Beattie
***********************************************************************************
"Ultimately, we must learn to trust ourselves. When we do this intimately and intelligently, the world opens full of meaning before us. We find that we ourselves are the doorway to a fathomless understanding of the source of life itself. We need only to learn to walk through it."

-- James Thornton

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I am really a little off on my days because of my sister and family visiting last week and all the running around we did. But, we did have a good time and that truly is what matters in life..being around people who uplift you and who you can have a good time with. Below are some of my favorite inspirational messages and if you have any, leave them in the comment section and I will see to it that it's posted. ~ Quietsound xo

Choose differently today

"It is always your next move."

-- Napoleon Hill
*********************************************************************************
The great benefit of heightened awareness is that we have more choice in how we live our lives. At any moment, we can purposefully choose a new experience for ourselves. We can choose to pay attention, breathe more deeply, laugh, rest, play, appreciate, do something different - the possibilities are endless.

Whenever you remember, TAKE YOURSELF OFF AUTO-PILOT and really examine your situation. Take charge and make a choice that will enrich your experience. At the end of the day, reflect on what happened and how you felt when you chose a new line of thought, feeling or action.

"We cannot tell what may happen to us in the strange medley of life. But we can decide what happens in us -- how we can take it, what we do with it -- and that is what really counts in the end."

-- Joseph Fort Newton
*********************************************************************************
"When a defining moment comes along, you can do one of two things. Define the moment, or let the moment define you."

-- Tin Cup (the movie)
*********************************************************************************
"If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice."

-- Neil Peart

*****************************************************************************
Tune into the inner critic

"A critic is a legless man who teaches running."

-- Channing Pollock
*****************************************************************************
Are you aware of your inner critic? We all have this voice that tells us we are bad, stupid, clumsy, cowardly.... Although its intent is to help us succeed, the harsh self talk of our critic just serves to drain our energy and lower our morale and immune system.

To defuse the inner critic, we need to recognize when the critic is speaking. We need to know that this voice does not necessarily speak for who we really are. This is an old pattern that may no longer be serving us. We want to open to the possibility that the words are not likely true. We can ask ourselves, "Are these words helpful?"

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

-- Eleanor Roosevelt
************************************************************************************
"Abilities wither under faultfinding, blossom with encouragement."

-- Donald A. Laird
***********************************************************************************
"Never react emotionally to criticism. Analyze yourself to determine whether it is justified. If it is, correct yourself. Otherwise, go on about your business."

-- Norman Vincent Peale

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I have been very busy this past week with family being down and going every place you can possibly imagine. During that time my body was not in the greatest shape; with aches and pains (especially in the head) but here are some inspirational thoughts concerning "the body" I hope you enjoy and please continue to comment because I do post them.
***********************************************************************************
Ask your body for advice

"The body has its own way of knowing, a knowing that has little to do with logic, and much to do with truth, little to do with control, and much to do with acceptance, little to do with division and analysis, and much to do with union."

-- Marilyn Sewell
**********************************************************************************
Are you aware of your bodys wisdom? Our bodies usually know us better than our minds do. If you have a decision to make, consult your body before making a final choice.

Reflect on an option before you and then pay attention to your body. Are you breathing deeply or barely at all? Are your muscles tense or relaxed? Is your energy blocked or flowing?

Your body knows what it likes and it feels good when it's happy. As your body is the source of your vitality, your motivation, your inspiration and enthusiasm and most importantly, your intuition, it's best to get that part of you on-side if you are venturing into a new activity.

"When you are saying that you are happy and you are not, there will be a disturbance in your breathing. Your breathing cannot be natural. It is impossible."

-- Osho
************************************************************************************
"Our inner guidance comes to us through our feelings and body wisdom first -- not through intellectual understanding. ...The intellect works best in service to our intuition, our inner guidance, soul, God or higher power -- whichever term we choose for the spiritual energy that animates life."

-- Christiane Northrup

Love yourself

"It's surprising how many persons go through life without ever recognizing that their feelings toward other people are largely determined by their feelings toward themselves, and if you're not comfortable within yourself, you can't be comfortable with others."

-- Sydney J. Harris
********************************************************************************
"We have the need to be accepted and to be loved by others, but we cannot accept and love ourselves. The more self-love we have, the less we will experience self-abuse. Self-abuse comes from self-rejection, and self-rejection comes from having an image of what it means to be perfect and never measuring up to that ideal. Our image of perfection is the reason we reject ourselves the way we are, and why we don't accept others the way they are."

-- Don Miguel Ruiz
********************************************************************************
"There is no freedom like seeing myself as I am and not losing heart."

-- Elizabeth J. Canham
********************************************************************************
"If we could learn to like ourselves, even a little, maybe our cruelties and angers might melt away."

-- John Steinbeck

Seek insights

"The ultimate value of life depends upon awareness and the power of contemplation rather than upon mere survival."

-- Aristotle
**********************************************************************************
INSIGHTS happen only when we shift to a higher, more inclusive perspective. As we grow in wisdom and experience, we become less attached to the form of reality and more aware of its spiritual side - its qualities, values and meaning. As we get to know ourselves as souls, we begin to let go of the self-consciousness of the ego. This allows us to more effectively include others and work with the whole picture.

When there is more in sight, we get more insights.

Try becoming aware of those times when you focus on differences. At those times, STOP and PAY ATTENTION and IDENTIFY SIMILARITIES INSTEAD. See how all parts fit into a bigger picture. Expand your perspectives. Find common causes, motives and needs. Go to another level of thinking and problem solving. Be open to using more imagination and creativity. Shift your thinking from "either/or" to "both/and" and be prepared for more insights.

"Insight occurs when, and to the degree that, one knows oneself."

-- Andrew Schneider

Take a break!

"A good rest is half the work."

-- Yugoslav Proverb
************************************************************************************
Strong work ethic? You can still justify taking a break. In fact, we NEED to take breaks -- regularly and frequently. Why? WE WORK MORE EFFECTIVELY WHEN WE DON'T WORK SO MUCH.

Rest periods and vacations break our work routines. They help SHIFT OUR THINKING from its habitual, stuck patterns. They create the SPACE FOR ENERGY AND CREATIVITY to flow. They give us TIME FOR REFLECTION, so we can step back and look at what's happening in our lives with greater detachment. We become more sensitive and aware.

And finally, we are stronger when we BALANCE DOING with BEING. All work and no play throws our life out of balance and endangers our health. Our bodies and minds need sufficient rest for recuperation. This is critically important with the level of stress in our lives these days.

"The time to relax is when you don't have time for it."

-- Sidney J. Harris
************************************************************************************
"I still need more healthy rest in order to work at my best. My health is the main capital I have and I want to administer it intelligently."

-- Ernest Hemingway

Love your shadows

"There is that part of ourselves that feels ugly, deformed, unacceptable. That part, above all, we must learn to cherish, embrace, and call by name."

-- Macrina Wiederkehr
*************************************************************************************
Each of us has characteristics we define as good and those we define as bad. The parts of ourselves that we continually reject want to be acknowledged and loved. Until we honour these aspects, they will continue to assert themselves. They will do whatever they can to get our attention.

What aspects of yourself do you reject?

Take a few moments to open to the parts of yourself that you do not love. See each one honestly for what it is. Explore the wounds and the motives that gave rise to its condition. Love a wounded part of yourself and it will heal.

"...self-contempt never inspires lasting change."

-- Jane R. Hirschmann and Carol H. Munter
************************************************************************************
"The first step toward change is acceptance. Once you accept yourself, you open the door to change. That's all you have to do. Change is not something you do, it's something you allow."

-- Will Garcia

This is something that was sent to me the other day so I thought I would share it with you all.

Balance material and spiritual

"What is [the role of money] in the search for meaning? Is our relationship to it one of the chief factors that keeps us in our prison, or could it also be a tool for breaking out, for awakening to a life filled with intensity of purpose?"

-- Jacob Needleman
*************************************************************************************
Our personality has a need for security. As a human in a material world, we need money to survive. If we dont have enough for basics, our lives cannot function. At the same time, with too much emphasis on the material, we lose the spiritual awareness that brings meaning and fulfillment. The key lies in the balance.

What draws most of your attention, time and energy: spiritual growth or money? Reflect on (or better yet, journal on) the balance or lack of balance of these two in your life.

"Money is not required to buy one necessity of the soul."

-- Henry David Thoreau
*************************************************************************************
"View money and things not as something you create to fill a lack, but as tools to help you more fully express yourself and realize your potential."

-- Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer

Don't Be Shy...

Be sure to hit the follow button below to be kept up to date. I am adding more links every single day so always check back.

And now...some more words to ponder...

************************************************************************************

Journey home

"Everything seeks its source."

-- a universal principle
***********************************************************************************
Our spiritual journey unfolds through 2 stages.

1. THE PATH OF PERSONALITY - We arise from the one source of all, to be born as individuals in a world of form. In this physical world, we experience separation and limitation. This is a time of immersion in a world of effects, form, ego, distortion, illusion and pain.

2. THE PATH OF SOUL - When we have experienced enough pain, we find our way back home to our spiritual source. We let go of the illusion of separation to embrace unity and wholeness. We work with cause instead of effects. Paradoxically, it's only with a strong and healthy personality that we become capable of expressing soul.

WHERE ARE YOU ON YOUR PATH? Are you struggling to do more and have more? Are you aware of your soul challenging you to open to the bigger picture of life?

"Two people have been living in you all your life. One is the ego, garrulous, demanding, hysterical, calculating; the other is the hidden spiritual being, whose still voice of wisdom you have only rarely heard or attended to - you have uncovered in yourself your own wise guide."

-- Sogyal Rinpoche

Know yourself

"What is necessary to change a person is to change his awareness of himself."

-- Abraham H. Maslow
***********************************************************************************
STOP AND PAY ATTENTION! Set an intention to be more aware. Become a watcher, of yourself and whats around you. Develop the witness, the part of you that can step back from life and impartially observe how you react and think and feel. We learn so much about who we are!

"Knowing others is wisdom; knowing the self is enlightenment."

-- Tao Te Ching

Live your own life

"We don't always know what makes us happy. We know, instead, what we think SHOULD. We are baffled and confused when our attempts at happiness fail...We are mute when it comes to naming accurately our own preferences, delights, gifts, talents. The voice of our original self is often muffled, overwhelmed, even strangled, by the voices of other people's expectations. The tongue of the original self is the language of the heart."

-- Julie Cameron
**********************************************************************************
We are each unique beings with a unique path in life. If we wish to be fulfilled, we need to go to our own hearts for direction. We might regularly ask ourselves:

- "What do I really want to do?"

- "What brings me greatest happiness?"

- "How can I bring more of these into my life?"

Life wants us to go for what brings us most joy and meaning.

"It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. ...I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing."

-- Oriah Mountain Dreamer

"Let me listen to me and not to them."

-- Gertrude Stein

Today, I lovingly embrace the healing life within me.

I am receptive to my healing.

Today, I feel free and restored.

I love and accept my body the way it is.

It is easy for me to stay open to the transforming power of love.
Love yourself

"If you had a friend who talked to you like you sometimes talk to yourself, would you continue to hang around with that person?"

-- Rob Bremer
************************************************************************************
Thanks to the power of our inner critics, most of us have a very poor opinion of ourselves. Yet self-contempt merely keeps us miserable and stuck in our mediocrity.

If we were to make only one change to transform the quality of our lives, we might try sending a little love our own way.

"A critic is a legless man who teaches running."

Here and now, I open myself to the universal abundance.

I wake up each morning ready to receive.

I live in the flow of instant, constant, and abundant supply.

It is easy for me to discern blessings and new opportunities all around me.

I think prosperous thoughts. I live prosperous life.
Make time to play

"If we fail to nourish our souls, they wither, and without soul, life ceases to have meaning.... The creative process shrivels in the absence of continual dialogue with the soul. And creativity is what makes life worth living."

-- Marion Woodman
*************************************************************************************
Stress, fear, negativity, too much to do and doing things for others at the expense of our own needs -- these all stifle our innate creativity. Relaxation, fun, meditation, and going after our dreams all get the creative juices flowing. Soul is always creative, always fresh and new.

How can you create more space in your life to allow the souls energy out to play?

"I learned... that inspiration does not come like a bolt, nor is it kinetic, energetic, striving, but it comes to us slowly and quietly and all the time, though we must regularly and every day give it a little chance to start flowing, prime it with a little solitude and idleness."

-- Brenda Ueland

"I lived in solitude in the country and noticed how the monotony of quiet life stimulates the creative mind."

Soul lives in connection

"We all seek Soul. While Soul is always present, it doesnt appear in our lives automatically. Soul requires our attention and reflection. Offering our respectful regard to the Soul is a way of loving it, caring for it, nurturing it."

-- Benjamin Shield and Richard Carlson
*************************************************************************************
How do we experience soul in our lives?

Its so simple! STOP AND PAY ATTENTION! Soul lives in connection. Whenever we are present and conscious, soul emerges.

To easily experience soul, find something you love to do and immerse yourself in it. Consciously savour a favourite piece of music. Consciously enjoy a walk in nature. Really experience your breathing and the pounding of your heart as you exercise. Really be present to your partner, your kids, your pet or another, and you will know the contentment of soul.

"I think that whenever soul is present, its because what youre doing, whom youre with, where you are, evokes love without your thinking about it. You are totally absorbed in the place or person or event, without ego and without judgment."

-- Jean Shinoda Bolen

Seek the inner cause of problems

"When you arrive at your future, will you blame your past?"

-- Robert Half

*************************************************************************************

What holds you back from being and doing more? In your journal, list what you believe is holding you back.

Have you blamed people or factors outside of yourself? It's important to understand that ALL problems are rooted inside us. Even the blocks that appear to be outside of us are only reflecting back an issue we have inside that we have not yet owned. Once we address our inner issue, the outer situation no longer troubles us.

The buck always stops with us. We step into our power when we accept responsibility for our lives.

"The most self-destructive thought that any person can have is thinking that he or she is not in total control of his or her life. That's when, Why me? becomes a theme song."

-- Roger Dawson
*************************************************************************************
"...look at that word blame. It's just a coincidence that the last two letters spell the word me. But that coincidence is worth thinking about. Other people or unfortunate circumstances may have caused you to feel pain, but only you control whether you allow that pain to go on. If you want those feelings to go away, you have to say: It's up to me."

-- Arthur Freeman

Know your motives

"As long as one keeps searching, the answers come."

-- Joan Baez
************************************************************************************
Why? Why? Why?

Asking ourselves 'why?' helps us delve deeply into our main motives -- why we do what we do. This process helps us go deeper into our reasoning, habits and unconscious beliefs. Once we become aware of our underlying motives, we can choose to change them, if we wish.

Regularly ask yourself, "Why am I ...?" Listen closely for the answer that surfaces in your mind, and write it down. Now look at your answer and ask why again. Continue with this process to reach the true source of your motivation.

"Men are more accountable for their motives, than for anything else ...."

-- Archibald Alexander

Embrace the positive and negative
in wholeness

"Only when we can love hell will we find heaven."

-- Unknown source
************************************************************************************
People often view the spiritual path as a search for the light. In truth, spirituality asks us to bring light and darkness together in wholeness. And in fact, this is the only possible solution. In our world of duality, any effort to focus all attention on the light only serves to increase the power of the darkness. Our aim is not to deny or reject anything but to embrace it all.

"When you are able to contain both the light and dark together, that is a very enlightening state. It means that you no longer have to choose one experience over another. You do not have to choose love OR hate, blame OR forgiveness, sadness OR joy, anger OR openheartedness. You are no longer polarized; no particular feeling boxes you in and keeps you from the light of true self. You then have access to the full range of human experiences you came into this life to embrace."

-- Martia Nelson

The Inner Journey

Spend time with your soul

"Be mindful of how you approach time. Watching the clock is not the same as watching the sun rise."

-- Sophia Bedford-Pierce
************************************************************************************
What would your soul consider a waste of time?

To a soul, the only real time is right NOW. Not the future or the past. It lives in connecting deeply with the rich experience of each moment. Through awareness we can be in touch with our authentic self and how it perceives all of the energies and guidance around and within us.

************************************************************************************
"Chronos is clocks, deadlines, watches, calendars, agendas, planners, schedules, beepers. Chronos is time at her worst. Chronos keeps track. ...Chronos is the world's time. Kairos is transcendence, infinity, reverence, joy, passion, love, the Sacred. Kairos is intimacy with the Real. Kairos is time at her best. ...Kairos is Spirit's time. We exist in chronos. We long for kairos. That's our duality. Chronos requires speed so that it won't be wasted. Kairos requires space so that it might be savored. We do in chronos. In kairos we're allowed to be ... It takes only a moment to cross over from chronos into kairos, but it does take a moment. All that kairos asks is our willingness to stop running long enough to hear the music of the spheres."

-- Sarah Ban Breathnach
*************************************************************************************
"He who postpones the hour of living rightly is like the rustic who waits for the river to run out before he crosses."

-- Horace

More Words To Live By

Discover the treasures inside

"You wander from room to room
Hunting for the diamond necklace
That is already around your neck!"

-- Jalal-Uddin Rumi

Peace, joy, health and well-being can only be found inside us. They exist within us now, waiting to be discovered. Yet we tend to look to the outside world to satisfy our needs and longings.

Our outer life reflects back to us the way we think, feel and behave. The outer world is all effects. Go to the source inside for all of life's treasures.

How are you searching for peace and contentment outside of yourself?

"Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude."

-- Denis Waitley

"It is not easy to find happiness in ourselves, and it is not possible to find it elsewhere."

-- Agnes Repplier

Journey

A wonderful and Powerful Inspirational Message:

I'm taking a journey down life's pathway into a world unknown to me.
Unsure of the directions I must take but one thing I know for sure; I'm to walk by faith and not by sight as the world is known to do. I decided to walk down this life's pathway when I answered the Father's call from above.

Everything going so smooth, I asked my Father to draw me close and make me more like His Son. Then all of a sudden my world turned upside down: test and trails that came my way and I didn't understand why? There is no way possible to walk this life's pathway that I have chosen for Him.

So discouraged and ready to give up from all the hurt and pain in my life, I know I have failed: it seems nothing turns out right. With tears in my eyes and with all of my heart, I cried out, "Father! This is not what I wanted nor is this what I asked for. Can't you see there is too much pain?"

Then I hear His soft gentle voice telling me, "Through the test and trails that I have sent into your life is to teach you to lean and trust in Me. Through test and trails I draw you close and make you more like MY Son." Now I'm beginning to understand why.

Still with all the test and trails I stumble, fall and at times I just want to give up. I still wonder why it has to be so hard; why can't I just run and hide? There is too much pain and heartache to continue on a journey down this life's pathway no matter how hard I try.

Again I hear that soft and gentle voice of my Father saying to me, "Don't be discouraged and don't give up for I have brought you this far. I have never left you, my child, and I will never leave you alone. I will go with you each step and every mile of the way, until your work is done."

With His words so gentle and softly spoken, now encourages me to stand tall. Through test and trails still come my way I know that I'm not alone and my strength is renewed each and every day. So no matter what may come my way, I will draw close to my Father and become more like His Son. Then when my journey down this life's pathway finally comes to an end; I know without a doubt, I will stand with Them through out all eternity. ~Connie L. Burchett copyright used with permission

Creating New Experiences Through Meditation by Sharath

Creating New Experiences Through Meditation: How can you change what you believe when the experiences you have had have convinced you otherwise? The simple answer to that is to create a new experience. The best way for you to get that new experience is to meditate about how you can change the way you respond to what happens. The new response will create new results, which you will then experience it as a new reality.

To reach your goal of happiness, you have to act as though the following statement is true: Everything that happens to me is the best possible thing that can happen to me. Meditating to help turn a bad situation into something good can be as easy as: 1+ 1 = 2. Acting as though what happens to you is the best possible thing that can happen to you plus the new results just equals happiness in your life.

When you are convinced of the truth that everything that happens is the best thing that can happen, life will Begin to be much more fun.It is like opening a new channel to happiness. All you need to know when meditating is happiness is there, waiting just for you.All you need to do is follow the formula that creates it.You have to remember also that unhappiness is also out there, waiting just for you.

The way you respond through meditation will determine which one you will be experiencing in your life. It is not necessary to have all the ingredients of a project in hand at the outset. They will come at the appointed time. It's only important that you move forward with the project that you have started until that appointed time comes. With the energy you create through meditation by moving forward as if you had the money to start your project, you actually put into motion a start of events that will lead you to your success.

Your actions create an energy that draws in the necessary ingredients of your project you have ventured into. Everything that you need for your venture is,in actuality, already out there, waiting for you.You only need to draw in what is needed. There is really nothing more to all of this other than just you remembering to keep an open mind and find that peace that is buried deep within you.

The result that comes with meditation that causes you to experience happiness, which then proves to you that this is how things really do work-and this leads you to soon believe that everything does indeed happen for your benefit. When you realize that is true, that is when the deep sighs of relief will come and that meditation can certainly help you see the light.

The internet is a really great place to find out all of the information that you would need about meditation, in case you are interested in learning more about it for your own benefits. This is very important for you to consider doing because it will relieve you from so much stress circulating throughout your life each and everyday. Try practicing meditation as often as you can because you are really going to benefit from it. Warm Regards, Sharath Chandra www.instantebookriches.com

Here's another article on: Fear, Anxiety and
overcoming them

How to be Free from Fears, Worries, and Shyness by Andrew McCole

Many people are crippled by fears and phobias. Most people worry what other people think about them, and this causes many of these people to avoid social interactions. The majority of people are also plagued by fruitless worries and stresses.

What is fear? Fear is a natural response designed to protect us from danger. However, it has become much more complicated nowadays. It is more than just instinct. Most of the fear we experience is irrational and imaginary. Sometimes we don't know why it is there. This is called anxiety. When a specific anxiety starts to gain more control over us, and becomes more severe and persistent it is called a phobia. Phobias always seem irrational to those that are not experiencing them, but when you are in the middle of a phobia the fear can be totally overwhelming. Shyness can have the same effect.

Panic is the most extreme form of fear. All conscious control is lost. You may feel you cannot breathe and may be hyperventilating. Reassurance is of little help.

Why Do You Get Fears and Phobias?

Fears, phobias and lack of confidence are NOT a sign of weakness or lack of courage. They are nothing to be ashamed about. We all get them. They are simply the effect of your subconscious mind trying to protect you. It wants to keep you away from what it perceives as danger. Occasionally this is a useful mechanism, but it is more often an over-exaggerated response.

The subconscious mind does not work on a rational level. That is why even when we know there is no rational reason to be afraid, the fear takes over anyway. This can weaken you, harm your career and cripple your social life. It is a constant obstacle. Unfortunately, the subconscious doesn't care too much about logic.

To complicate matters further, each time a fear is experienced the more the subconscious mind accepts it as normal.

How to Overcome Fear, Worry and Shyness

You now realize that all the ingredients of the problem exist in the SUBCONSCIOUS MIND. So, obviously the solution lies in dealing with the subconscious. Makes sense, right?

People try numerous methods to cure themselves of fear, from medications and conscious desensitization to discovering the root cause of their fears. The downside of these therapies is that they don't focus on a subconscious level and therefore show very poor results. It can be like trying to clean a spot off a window when it is actually on the other side. No amount of scrubbing will remove it. Instead you have to attack it from the right side.

It is pointless to try to conquer a subconscious problem in the conscious mind! A conscious 'pep-talk' might sound nice, but unless the subconscious is changed the behavior will ultimately stay the same. If you don't deal with the subconscious you could well be sabotaging your success.

It is clear that the subconscious must be dealt with. This may mean it needs re-educating or desensitizing. There may be an emotionally traumatic incident festering away in the subconscious that needs to be resolved. This may even be hidden from your conscious recall.

The safest, fastest and surest (and in my opinion, the only) way to change the subconscious is with the aid of hypnosis. Hypnosis gives us access to the subconscious in a controlled, relaxed environment - perfect for dealing with fears and confidence problems.

With hypnosis, your subconscious can directly experience and accept a new perspective regarding the fear triggers. This means that instead of responding with fear, shyness, worry, panic and other unpleasant symptoms you can instead feel relaxed, secure, confident and comfortable. Fear can be turned into personal power! Can you imagine that?

You don't need to imagine! Everyone can easily be hypnotized, and my advanced techniques can enable you to start a new, happy life, free from irrational fears and nervousness. You already have confidence, security and control, whether you express them freely or not. Hypnosis is the ideal tool to make these feelings a natural part of your behavior - ALL of the time.

Make sure hypnotist is properly qualified. Ask for details of their training, and keep in mind that a degree in medicine or psychology does not include hypnosis training.

I am sure you can now see that hypnosis is THE way to change subconscious behavior. And positively changing subconscious behavior is one of the best ways to achieve both happiness and success.
